My New Hero: Todd Lassa

If you have not heard, Rush Limbaugh trashed Motor Trend Magazine's choice of Chevy Volt, an electric car, as "Car of the Year." Limbaugh got his facts wrong, etc. No surprise there.

Motor Trend's Detroit Editor, Todd Lassa, got his facts right in his blog post entitled "Rush to Judgment." Then, Lassa ended his rebuttal with a flourish:

If you can stop shilling for your favorite political party long enough to go for a drive, you might really enjoy the Chevy Volt. I’m sure GM would be happy to lend you one for the weekend. Just remember: driving and Oxycontin don’t mix.

For that, Todd Lassa is my new hero. Contact Motor Trend to thank Todd.

Oh. And as of today, the number of comments on Lassa's blog post is 592. The next most commented Motor Trend blog post was for The Lohdown: Muscle Car Madness Final Round Camaro SS vs Mustang GT (181).

Poplawski a Right Wing Talk Radio Listener?

How much you want to bet that Pittsburgh cop killer Richard Poplawski listens to the likes of Rush Limbaugh, Mike (Weiner) Savage, Michele Bachmann, Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity?

Limbaugh, Weiner, Bachmann, Beck and Hannity, among others, are whipping up unwarranted fear and creating a scapegoat mentality across the country. They are a threat to social stability. They're yelling "fire" in theater while making millions. Their irresponsible behavior makes them responsible.

IMF Uses the D-Word

This might be old news, BUT on Febrary 7, 2009 Bloomberg News reporters Angus Whitley and Shamim Adam wrote an article, which stated:

Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Advanced economies are already in a "depression" and the financial crisis may deepen unless the banking system is fixed, International Monetary Fund Managing Director Dominique Strauss-Kahn said.

Why is it in the IMF's interest to use the eye-popping term "depression"? Because their original job description, before being captured by corporate powers, was to bail out entire national economies. The IMF is trying to use shock value to convert the non-believers, like many in the Republican Party, that the unraveling of the economic system is for real.

Meanwhile, Anarchists and Rush Limbaugh are cheering for the failure of the state.

Psssst... Do Something
